What is an authorization profile and role

Profile is just a set or collection of authorizations. Role is the activities you are supposed to do or you are authorized to do. Profile contains the maximum activities you can perform. Profile is a template of authorizations. Where role contains the things which you can do or role is a collection of real time activities you will perform.
